Curtosey Valves

Curtosey Valves: During the early years of the ECS projects the District allowed landowners with a house on large parcels to have a courtesy valve. This was a small unmeasured valve they could use to irrigate their yard. As the District has evolved with these projects, we have successfully used smaller meters to deliver to water to such lots. The District strives to operate equitably for all landowners by measuring flow at all delivery points.
With this in mind, the District has taken on a long-term project to install flowmeters in locations where these courtesy valves presently exist. To date we have updated 9 of these deliveries with flowmeters. There are currently 67 more to be up dated.
